Well, if it wasn’t clear before, it sure is now. Even if he is cheated of a win once again OR even gets voted off his tribe next episode, Russell Hantz has proved once and for all that he is the best Survivor player ever.

Richard Hatch paved the way, and Rob Mariano has upped the antes, but Russell, in all of his villainy has more than once demonstrated he was the superior player with his gutsy talk and moves.

In last night’s episode, after being pushed against the wall by bully Rob, Russell fired back with possibly one of the best moments of the last 20 seasons when he managed to trick enough people into thinking he was sincerely giving up and going the way of the tribe and changed the one vote he needed to sent one of Rob’s best man’s home as Rob himself had won individual immunity and couldn’t be voted out… All of Rob’s cocky and fresh talks and side smiles about welcoming Russell to the “big league” now that he was playing against himself were washed out of his face when he realized what had just happened.

I rarely scream at the tv unless it accidentally stops on a channel with Ann Coulter on it, but last night I howled in joy…

Russell is the king.
