This morning we decided to go try a cute little breakfast place we saw on our walk last Sunday. The place is called Aunties & Uncles at the corner of College and Lippincott, a bit west of Spadina. We got there a little early not realizing it only opened at 9am. We had 45 minutes to kill, so we went for a walk in Kensington Market and walked back up Spadina… Jesus Fucking Christ:

Day 27 – A 30 minutes walk through Chinatown…
And then we thought DR saw another rat:
By the way, the breakfast was really delish. We’ll go back again.
On our way back home, we saw a couple of city employee crews bagging up all the different piles of garbage, and yes, we did hear some severe swearing as they were obviously disgusted by what seemed the dirtiest city block I’ve ever seen…

I liked the breakfast tacos and the potato salad chaser. Delish!
The waiter seemed pre-occupied and was taking in orders higgety piggety. No coffee refills or hot water freshups for tea. Plus I felt guilty for just the two of us being in a four person table while the place filled up at 930am.
The garbage was amazing. If there was any kind of receptacle open upward, there were Starbucks/Timmys cups in it.
Things are getting so disgusting – and while all of this is going on, the Mayor is playing golf! Nice to know where his priorities lie!
Would be sweet to get a picture of him playing golf while his taxpayers are left behind to deal with this. A golf course I’m sure that is out of the city so the smell of garbage doesn’t indispose his game.
