Been up for 3 hours and 2hr45min of that have been spent on the TV. The other 15min was spent getting the caffeine and carb we’ll need to sustain us for the entire day…

Me with the Coronation Street gang on CBC

30min later, me with Super Mario Galaxy on Wii

45min later, me with Burnout Paradise on Xbox. Xbox totally rules with HD, so fun. Now I want to go back and play older Xbox games to see how they look… Dead Rising here I come…
And that concludes all new TV talk until Shark Week on Discovery. Oh, that starts tonigth….
After the morning excitement, we were on the hunt for HDMI cables, we found a whole slew at Factory Direct (not my favourite store) for approximately $75 less than at Best Buy or Future Shop… $25 for 2 cables… I’m happy. Oh and then we went to Kensington Market after getting huge slushies to cool my core:

I wonder if we’d find DR’s stolen bicycle in their inventory

Is this what they sell at Bike Pirates?

Reminds me of when I was a kid – Saturday’s we’d all get packed into the trunk of the car and head to the Drive-In theatre!
Have you got the right aspect ratio going on your TV signal there? Looks like stretched standard definition. (This is admittedly tricky to set up.)

I think it might be wonky from what I can tell. Coronation Street, as an avid viewer of Corrie in HD, should fill the entire screen – no black lines.
Looks great though.
ahah… yeah, I married a techie, it’s all set-up correctly. I just like to watch my Corrie heads a little bit squishy to add to the fun.
We have it on 4:9 ratio for regular tv watching. We also just installed the HD box, so the image is a lot crispier on the HD channels… Next week? Corrie in HD. But oh my holy spirit, Xbox on the bigger screen is truly the best, until we discover PS3 that is
Were you really at the Kensigton market? I think you’re lying to us, I think you just took along a cardboard cut-out of yourself and photographed it… you’re in the EXACT SAME POSE in every photo, thats trippy!
Try being the one taking the pictures…
Seriously, that’s why I married hiiiiiiim…..!
Kezza: Trust me it’s all real, I had a brain freeze after sipping so much waiting for the picture to be taken
I didn’t realise it was the UK Coronation you get there, how freaky!
David, the CBC buying every single episode outright without knowing or having a say in what might happen to the characters or storyline is on record, the largest TV deal in history. It’s traditionally 6-8 months behind.
The Ceeb tried to do their own version of C-Street here in Toronto called “Riverdale” with nearly the same type of locational/character set up. It bombed of course.
Oh and you can buy Coronation Street shampoo now too.
Our poodle squats like that.
Without the slushie, needless to say.
Lew: the talent is to do it WITH the slushie… poor dog, not very talented is he
Hey! I kinda liked Riverdale…
There are loads of blocks of houses that remind me of Corrie’s cobbles. Also, the houses on Earl Street remind me of the townhouses from Eastenders.
