I believe the answer is yes.
Last night, I woke up from a dream where I was cast as one of the lead in a ten movie deal with George Lucas set during the pre-Star Wars years about the men who built the robots C3PO and R2D2, as well as the laser weapons (guns and swords) which would be used in later years to fight the dark force…
This from a guy who doesn’t know the difference between a sith and a jedi and who says Chibooki instead of… well, I still don’t know what those aliens says in their language when they greet each other. I make DR cringe everytime I try to say it too.
But, regardless if I married a sci-fi geek, there isn’t enough there to make me love a movie like Zardoz…. Z is for ZZZZzzzzz.

I turned to SharkBoy mid-way through Zardoz (when he was awake) and said “Phronk would ‘get’ this movie”
And I got a “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” look back.
If you’re all wondering, SharkBoy says “Chibooki” whenever he wants to quote a Jawa’s yell of surprise: “Oocheenie!!”
Shepoopi shepoopi shepoopi
The girl who’s hard to get.
Shepoopi shepoopi shepoopi
But can win her yet!
Hahaha, oh man, I feel embarrassed to say that I haven’t seen Zardoz. The only thing I know about it is, uh, this: http://www.utc.fr/~macret/cine/realisateurs/boorman/photos/zardoz6.jpg
I better go rent it now though, and hope DR is right.
And there is something oddly sweet about dreaming your husband’s interests. AWWWWWW
Now Phronk, note that I said “get” not “like” so don’t come whining to me when you finish the movie and want your 2.5 hours back (at least it felt like 2.5 hours…)
Isn’t it SheBoopie in the song? I have seen that family guy episode at least a dozen times..I think it was a superbowl halftime episode the first time it was on…now TBS or whatever its called now…Peachtree television? shows it at least 2x per month.
My previous partner was(is) a super scifi geek and even was on TV! in 1983 in a rubiks cube contest on That’s Incredible. he was 13 and could do a cube in under a minute. He won a contest in Times Square(he is a native New Yorker) and was sent to California to be on That’s Incredible. Me, the only way I could ever solve the thing was to take it apart and reassemble it. Am much better at tear down and rebuild, lol. Anyway…he always hated that I did not know everything about the Star Wars characters and movies or all things Star Trek. He hated ST Voyager, which I find(found) the most tolerable of all the after shows…DS9…DEEPSLEEP 9 zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and the only thing I found interesting about Zardoz is how hot Sean Connery still was when it was filmed, WOOF.
